Measure the room
Measure width, depth and ceiling height – in older buildings at several points, as walls are rarely perfectly straight. Note sloping ceilings with the height and where the slope starts.
Mark obstacles
Draw windows, doors (with opening direction), radiators, sockets and light switches in a simple sketch. You'll see at once where a wardrobe or kitchen unit really fits.
Think about the way in
Entrance, staircase, hallway and room door decide whether large furniture gets into the room. Measure the narrowest point.
Rather have it measured?
For wardrobes, kitchens and corner sofas our measuring service at your home is worth it – then everything fits to the centimetre.
